FM Dir-Gen Bentsur to Lay Cornerstone for International Cooperation Forest

Foreign Ministry Director-General Eytan Bentsur will tomorrow (Monday), 8.6.98, at 17:00, at the Jewish National Fund planting site at Mitzpe Modi’in (on Road #443, east of the Ben-Shemen interchange), lay the cornerstone for the "International Cooperation Forest" to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Foreign Ministry’s Center for International Cooperation ("Mashav"). The forest itself will be planted by the approximately 500 people from 90 countries currently participating in Mashav seminars in Israel. The forest will be gradually enlarged over the next five years and is slated to eventually number approximately 25,000 trees.
