Foreign Ministry DG Bentsur to Talks in Sweden

Foreign Ministry Director General Eytan Bentsur leaves this evening (Wednesday), 29.7.98, for political talks in Stockholm, at the invitation of Sweden’s deputy foreign minister.

During the visit, Mr. Bentsur and his host will discuss issues relating to the peace process, the Mideast strategic situation (the Swedish deputy FM recently returned from a visit to Iran), the Barcelona process, Mediterranean cooperation and involving Sweden in projects for promoting inter-cultural dialogue in the Mediterranean Basin, possibilities for broadening international cooperation in the wake of the signing of a cooperation agreement for assisting third countries, and the possibility for active development cooperation between Sweden, Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
