FM Levy Meets AIPAC Leaders

Foreign Minister David Levy today (Tuesday) 17.8.99 met with AIPAC leaders to discuss the continued fertile cooperation in working with the American Congress and ways to advance common American-Israeli interests. Other issues raised were the flow of Russian weapons technology to Iran and the absence of supervision over Iraq. The Foreign Minister briefed the AIPAC leaders on the political situation. He explained that there is a need to develop a common code of behavior between the parties which is necessary to enable proper management of the talks and to determine a concept of a general peace and defined objectives that will be supported by all the parties in the peace process.
