Israel to be Election Observer in Estonia

The Foreign Ministry today (Thursday) 4.3.99, announced that Israel would, for the first time, participate as an observer with the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for the Estonian parliamentary elections to be held on 7.3.99. Israel’s participation is in response to a request submitted by the OSCE to six Mediterranean countries — Israel, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Jordan — as part of its Mediterranean Friendship program.
