Japanese FM Koumura to Visit Israel

Japanese Foreign Minister Masahiko Koumura will arrive in Israel for a working visit between 10-12.1.99, as part of a general visit to the Middle East. While here, he will meet with President Ezer Weizman, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon and opposition leader MK Ehud Barak. Mr. Koumura will also visit Yad Vashem and the grave of late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. The visit is part of the Japanese government’s efforts to advance the Middle East peace process through ongoing political dialogue with the region’s leaders.
