PM Barak Condemns Hebron Shooting

(Communicated by the Prime Minister’s Media Adviser)

Prime Minister Ehud Barak views with utmost seriousness the shooting incident in Hebron last night. He stated that the security forces would fight against terrorism with all severity and that this fight takes precedence over everything else. The State of Israel cannot accept any kind of violence or terrorism towards its citizens in any place. He demands that the Palestinian Authority to act aggressively and determinedly to capture the perpetrators and to prevent further attacks.

The Prime Minister’s call to do what is necessary to bring about genuine peace in our region while protecting the security and prosperity of all its residents takes second place in the face of such attacks.
