PM Netanyahu Speaks with German Minister

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, yesterday evening (Wednesday), 17.2.99, spoke with the German Minister of State responsible for Internal Security. The two discussed the incident at the Israeli consulate in Berlin.
The German minister said that he regrets the incident which took place on German soil and that, since the incident, German security personnel have been working in cooperation with Israeli officials to calm passions and bolster security.
The Prime Minister’s Media Adviser further wishes to clarify that, contrary to various reports, no directive to close Israeli diplomatic missions has been issued. Officials in Israel remain in continuous contact with all Israeli missions.
