FM Levy to Visit Switzerland and Germany

Foreign Minister David Levy will pay a working visit to Switzerland and Germany (12-16/3).

During his visit to Switzerland (13/3), Foreign Minister Levy will meet with his colleague Joseph Deiss and President Adolf Ogi.

While visiting Germany (14-16/3), the Foreign Minister will confer with his colleague Joschka Fischer for a working meeting. The two ministers will tour the Holocaust memorial and the Jewish quarter of Berlin, and will have dinner.

Mr. Levy will also meet the Chancellor of Germany, Gerhard Schroeder and the President of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Thierse.

The visit to Germany is intended to consolidate the dialogue with Germany, with whom Israel has particularly close relations.

In his meetings in Switzerland and Germany, Foreign Minister Levy will update his counterparts regarding recent developments in the peace process.
