Ministerial Committee on National Security approves seam line area plan
(Communicated by the Cabinet Secretariat)

In the framework of the struggle against terrorism, the Ministerial Committee on National Security today (Wednesday), 18.7.2001, approved an action plan for the seam line area.

The plan is an important component in dealing with terrorism and entails stepped-up actions to foil infiltrations and prevent people from staying in Israel illegally. These will include increased operational activity and vigorous enforcement efforts in the seam line area with an emphasis on dealing with infiltrators and employers, as well as people in Israel illegally and Israelis who provide lodging for them.

The Ministerial Committee on National Security authorized the Ministerial Committee on Legislation to work quickly on providing the necessary legislative support for the plan.
