Murder of an Israeli Citizen in Jordan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deep sorrow on the murder of Itzhak Snir, an Israeli citizen, who visited Jordan for the purpose of developing business ties, in the framework of the ongoing efforts to expand the "fruits of peace" between the two nations.

The Foreign Ministry expresses its condolences to his family, and shares in their grief. The Embassy of Israel in Amman and the Foreign Ministry in Israel have been acting to facilitate the transfer of the body to Israel.

The Foreign Ministry expresses its full confidence that the Jordanian authorities will do their utmost to investigate the murder, capture the perpetrators and act to secure the safety and well-being of Israeli citizens in Jordan.
