Palestinian Gunfire Directed toward Diplomatic Vehicle near Givat Ze’ev
(Communicated by the IDF Spokesman)

This afternoon (February 15), armed Palestinians opened fire from an ambush toward a diplomatic vehicle near the HaGivonim Junction, located adjacent to the town of Givat Ze’ev north of Jerusalem. The vehicle, fitted with armor, was struck by a bullet, and an additional bullet struck a house in Givat Zev.

The gunmen fled in the direction of the village of el-Jib, and IDF forces carried out searches throughout the area.

This incident is another in a series of indiscriminate Palestinian gunfire attacks, in this case directed against a diplomatic vehicle.

The IDF is acting to secure free movement on traffic arteries and prevent injury of innocent civilians.
