Terrorists continue to plan and carry out attacks after Israel’s request for their arrest

Israel has requested on numerous occasions that the Palestinian Authority arrest Palestinian terrorist who have planned or carried out terrorist attacks. The following is a partial list of Palestinians who continue to plan and carry out attacks after Israel’s request for their arrest:

Raed Mahmed Raef Karami:

Tulkarem Tanzim/Fatah operative born 1974. Participated in the murder of two Israeli restauranteurs in Tulkarem in January 2001. Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 14.6.2001 along with information on his continued involvement in shooting attacks in the region. The Palestinians claim to have arrested him, but according to the information in Israeli hands, he continues to move about freely and carry out terrorist attacks including two attacks in which Israelis were killed on 18.6.2001.

Tabet Azmi Suliman Merdawi:

Arabeh Islamic Jihad operative, born 1976. Involved in preparing the suicide bombing in Hadera on 25.5.2001 in which 45 people were wounded. Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 14.6.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues his activities including the planning of the suicide bombing in Binyamina in which two people were killed and eight wounded.

Mahmoud Ahmad Muhammed Tualbeh:

Jenin Refugee Camp Islamic Jihad operative, born 1979. Involved in preparing the suicide bombing in Hadera on 25.5.2001 in which 45 people were wounded, and was behind the dispatch of a suicide bomber to Afula who was caught before activating his bomb (the bomber admitted under interrogation that he was sent by Tualbeh). Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 11.7.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues his activities including the planning of the suicide bombing in Binyamina in which two people were killed and eight wounded. Tualbeh’s brother, Morad, was apprehended in Haifa on 22.7.2001 in the process of carrying out a suicide bombing, and admitted in his interrogation to being handed the explosives belt and being sent by Tualbeh. Tualbeh has been put into protective custody by the Palestinians, but according to information in Israeli hands, continues to be involved in planning attacks.

Kamal Najeb Amin abu Waeer:

Balata Refugee Camp Force 17, Tanzim/Fatah operative, born 1974. Involved in shooting attacks from the beginning of the Palestinian violence, including the murder of an Israeli civilian in Itamar on 8.5.2001. Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 14.6.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues to be involved in terrorist attacks.

Aahed Yussif Mussa Olmeh:

From Ramallah, one of the senior members of the Popular Front in Judea and Samaria. Born 1968. Involved in the planning and preparation of the majority of Popular Front attacks in recent months including two car bomb attacks in Jeruslaem on 8.2.2001 (in which five people were wounded) and 21.3.2001. Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 14.6.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues to be involved in planning terrorist attacks.

Musa Muhammed Hussein Kulab:

Khan Yunis Hamas operative, born 1971. Involved in planning and carrying out attacks in the Gaza Strip from the beginning of the Palestinian violence with an emphasis on mortar attacks. Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 14.6.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues to be involved in terrorist attacks.

Nabil Hassan Salem Shrihi:

Nussirat Islamic Jihad operative born in 1975. Involved from the beginning of the Palestinian violence in dispatching terrorists from the Gaza Strip to carry out attacks inside Israel, including a suicide bomber caught at the border fence by IDF forces on 3.2.2001 as well as a suicide bomber who attacked an IDF force near Dahaniyeh on 22.6.2001 (the bomber admitted under interrogation that he was sent by Shrihi). Requests for his arrest have been conveyed to the Palestinian Authority on a number of occasions since 22.6.2001. He has yet to be arrested by the Palestinians, and continues to be involved in terrorist attacks.
