The Families of the Abducted Israelis to Visit the USA and Britain

The families of Elhanan Tenenboim and the soldiers Benyamin Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Sawaid, who were abducted by the Hizbullah, will depart on April 30 for a trip that will include meetings in New York, Washington and London. The trip has been coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On May 1, the families will meet in New York with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The families will carry a message with them from the Prime Minister, Mr. Ariel Sharon, and will request the assistance of the UN and the personal assistance of the Secretary General in obtaining information on the situation of the abducted Israelis.

During the visit to the United States, the families are expected to meet with Administration officials, members of congress and representatives of Jewish organizations.
