The Fate of the Jewish Desaparecidos in Argentina

On Tuesday, December 18, the Interministerial Committee on the fate of the Jews who disappeared in Argentina will hear testimony from Argentina (for two days, from 14:00-19:00) in the Yahil Hall in the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem via video conference.

Testimony will be heard in Hebrew and in Spanish from people who were imprisoned by the military regime in Argentina in 1976-1983 and who were released with the help of the Israeli government, as well as from relatives of those who disappeared during those years (desaparecidos).

The committee is headed by Pinhas Avivi, Foreign Ministry Deputy Director General for Latin America and the Caribbean.
