Visit of Bavarian PM to Israel

The Prime Minister of Bavaria, Edmond Stoiber, will arrive on Sunday evening, April 29, for an official three day visit to Israel.

In the course of his visit, the Bavarian Prime Minister will meet with the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Speaker of the Knesset, and will discuss with them the political situation and the expansion of economic ties between Bavaria and Israel.

Mr. Stoiber will be accompanied by a high-level economic delegation from Bavaria, the largest State within Germany (a population of twelve million citizens, with Munich as its capital). Stoiber is one of the highest-ranking members of the opposition Christian-Democratic party and is one of the leading politicians in Germany.
