Visit of FM Peres to United States

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres will depart tonight (April 29) for a four-day trip to the United States. The Minister will hold meetings with the US President, George W. Bush, Secretary of State, Colin Powell, the National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice and senior US Congressmen. In addition, he will meet with UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan. In his discussions, he will focus on the need to end the Palestinian violence and terrorism. In the course of his visit, the Foreign Minister will address Jewish organizations in New York and Washington.
