El Salvadorian FM Lainez to arrive on Monday (14 May) on a three day official visit to Israel.

Mr. Francisco Lainez, Foreign Minister of El Salvador, is due to arrive on Monday (14 May) on a three-day official visit to Israel at the invitation of Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni.
During his visit, FM Lainez will meet with FM Livni and will sign a memorandum of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and El Salvador.
FM Lainez will also meet with Prime Minister Olmert, Knesset Speaker and Acting President Dalia Itzik, and with the chairman of the Israel – El Salvador parliamentary friendship association, MK Ran Cohen. He will also visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum, Yad Sarah, the Israel Museum and the holy sites.
A special committee, formed in El Salvador, will present the chairman of Yad Vashem with its findings regarding actions taken by El Salvador to save thousands of Hungarian Jews during the Second World War, by granting them documents proclaiming them to be citizens of El Salvador.
FM Lainez will also hold a reception for senior members of the economic and financial sectors, with the aim of introducing the El Salvadorian economy to potential Israeli investors.
