FM Livni leaves on official  visits to Spain and Germany

FM Livni meets with Spanish FM Moratinos in Madrid, Feb 8, 2007 (GPO)

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni left last night (7 February) on an official visit to Spain and Germany.

During her visit to Spain, FM Livni will meet with the King of Spain, the Prime Minister, the head of the opposition as well as with her colleague, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos. She will also address the dedication ceremony of Spain-Israel House in Madrid and the leaders of the Jewish community in Spain.

FM Livni will continue to Germany where she will deliver the opening speech at the 43rd Munich Conference on Security Policy. Other notable participants are German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Head of EU Foreign Policy Javier Solana.

During her visit, FM Livni will also meet with Chancellor Merkel and with Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik.
