Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni departs for Europe today (30 May) for a two-day working visit in Austria and the Czech Republic. In Vienna, she will take part in an international conference convening under the auspices of Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik entitled: "Women Leaders – Networking for Peace and Security in the Middle East." Minister Livni will meet on Thursday (31 May) with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The Foreign Minister’s visit will open in a brief visit to Prague, where she will meet with Czech President Vaclav Klaus, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, and Deputy Prime Minister Alexandr Vondra. Livni will also hold a working meeting with her counterpart, Foreign Minister Karel Schwartzenberg, and will be hosted by the local Jewish community on a tour of the Jewish heritage sites in Prague.

In Vienna, FM Livni will also meet with Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer, President of the National Council Barbara Prammer, and heads of the local Jewish community.
