The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Georgia, currently in Israel on an official visit, met today in Jerusalem with FM Livni to discuss regional affairs.
(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesman)
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni met today (Tuesday, 23 October 2007) with Mr. Gela Bezhuashvili, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Georgia.
During the discussion, FM Livni stressed that, in Israel’s view, the ongoing dialogue between Georgia and Iran is problematic. With regard to the negotiations with the Palestinians, FM Livni told the Georgian FM that "It must be clearly understood that any agreement with the Palestinians must be conditional upon the implementation of Palestinian commitments to the war against terror".
