The second round of diplomatic consultations between Israel and Peru were held yesterday at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.

The second round of diplomatic consultations between Israel and Peru were held yesterday (Wednesday, 30 May) in Jerusalem. The Peruvian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Gonzalo Gutiérrez. The Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Aharon Abramovitch, headed the Israeli delegation.
The talks, held in a convivial atmosphere, centered on bilateral, multilateral and regional issues.
The following points were emphasized in the summation document:
- The need for both countries to fight the affliction of world terror
- Increased bilateral cooperation in the fields of economics, tourism, culture and regional development.
The delegations agreed to hold the third round of consultations in Peru in two years time.
