Austrian FM Plassnik will meet with PM Olmert, FM Livni and a group of women MKs.

The Foreign Minister of Austria, Ursula Plassnik, arrived on Monday (4 February 2008) on a three-day official visit to Israel, as guest of Vice Prime minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni.

During hew visit, FM Plassnik will meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. This is FM Plassnik’s third visit to Israel since being appointed Foreign Minister, and is a symbol of the improvement in relations between the two countries in recent years. 

The Austrian Foreign Minister is a sponsor of the issue of the role of women leaders in the Middle East, as a tool for the advancement of relations between nations. During the visit, she will meet with a selected group of women MKs for a discussion on the subject.
