Deputy FM Whbee has left for an official visit to two key Central Asian Moslem republics.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs MK Majalli Whbee departed today (Monday 2 June 2008) on an official visit to the Moslem republics of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Both are key states in Central Asia.

During his visit, Deputy FM Whbee will meet with his counterparts in Bishkek and Tashkent. He is also scheduled to meet with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ednan Karabaev and Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov.

In Tashkent, Deputy FM Whbee will meet with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and with the Uzbek deputy minister of agriculture.

Deputy FM Whbee will brief his hosts on recent developments in the Middle East and particularly on the recent discussions with the Palestinian Authority and Syria.

Deputy FM Whbee will also discuss the Iranian issue and investigate the possibility of bilateral cooperation in various fields: War on terror, political and agricultural cooperation, MASHAV support and other issues. He is also scheduled to meet with the heads of the Jewish communities of both countries.
