The Dutch FM will meet with senior Israeli officials and attend the Herzliya Conference.

The Dutch Foreign Minister, Mr. Maxime Verhagen, will arrive tonight (Sunday, 20 January 2008) on an official visit to Israel. This is his second visit as Foreign Minister in several months.
During his visit, FM Verhagen will meet with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Defense Minister Ehud Barak. Bilateral and regional issues will be the focus of the discussions. The visiting minister will also participate in the Herzliya Conference.
Holland and Israel have enjoyed close bilateral relations for many years. This is primarily expressed in the relationship between the two governments and by excellent commercial relations, in excess of 2.5 billion dollars per year.
