MASHAV – The Center for International Development in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is holding a water management workshop for senior representatives from the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation
(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson)
MASHAV’s water management workshop, in which ten Jordanian men and women are participating, is being held between 2-7 November 2008, within the framework of cooperation that MASHAV has established with the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation. The current workshop is the continuation of a course held in Israel last year.
In a meeting held several months ago with the Jordanian ministry’s Deputy-Director General for Human Resource Development, it was agreed that MASHAV would hold four workshops for senior representatives of the Jordanian water and irrigation ministry on the following subjects: Pressurized fertilization and irrigation for various crops, municipal water management, water handling and water recycling for irrigation, and water saving crops.
The current workshop is the second to be held by MASHAV in accordance with the agreement. It is being held in Kibbutz Shfaim under the supervision of Syndico, MASHAV’s agricultural arm.
