During their visit to Israel, the Mongolian president and his entourage will attend the Presidential Conference held by President Peres, and will meet with senior Israeli politicians and business executives.

Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar arrived yesterday (Sunday, 11 May 2008) on a historic first visit of a Mongolian president to Israel. He was accompanied on the four-day visit by the Mongolian Foreign Minister, Ms. Sanjaasurengiin Oyun, members of parliament and Mongolian media executives.

During his visit to Israel, President Enkhbayar will meet with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni. President Enkhbayar and his entourage will attend the Presidential Conference held by President Peres to mark Israel’s 60th anniversary.

The Mongolian president will also meet with executives from the industrial and business sectors in order to find opportunities for  increasing economic cooperation between the two countries. President Enkhbayar will also visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, as well as several commercial companies of interest to the Mongolians.

During the visit, Mongolian FM Oyun and FM Livni will sign a bilateral cultural cooperation agreement.
