President Shimon Peres held a working meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron. The two discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the current situation between Israel and the Palestinians.
PM Cameron briefed the President on the outcome of the recent London Conference on Libya which was attended by 40 foreign ministers including U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and representatives from the Arab League. The meeting between Peres and Cameron was held in a friendly atmosphere and at the start of the meeting PM Cameron emphasized that Britain sees itself as a true friend of Israel.
