Both sides enjoyed a fruitful discussion on a wide range of issues focusing on bilateral relations, the regional situation and challenges, both in the Middle East and in the CIS countries.

 Israel-Uzbekistan Political Dialogue

 

On Monday, October 22, a delegation from Israel headed by Ms. Anna Azari, Deputy Director General of the MFA Euro-Asia Division, completed a political dialogue in Tashkent hosted by the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan and headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Usmanov Oybek Arifbekovich.

Both sides enjoyed a fruitful discussion on a wide range of issues focusing on bilateral relations, the regional situation and challenges, both in the Middle East and in the CIS countries. Both sides agreed to further enhance the bilateral relations in all spheres.

The Israel delegation also visited the cites of Bukhara and Samarkand. In both cites the members of the delegation met with the mayors and the members of these ancient Jewish communities. The Jewish communities of Samarkand and Bukhara together with the Israeli citzens originating from Bukhara play an important role in engendering and enhancing the good relations between Israel and Uzbekistan.
