Former MK and Minister Raleb Majadele will begin serving Sunday morning as an MK on behalf of the Israel Labor Party instead of Binyamin (Fouad) Ben-Eliezer, who submitted his resignation letter last week to the Speaker of the Knesset, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein.

Majadele was a member of the 16th, 17th and 18th Knessets, and served among other positions as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and Chairman of the Internal Affairs and Environment Committee. During the 17th Knesset, Majadele served as Minister of Science, Culture and Sport.

He is married, has four children and lives in Baqa al-Gharbiyye.
