THE HEBRON MASSACRE – RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE KNESSET

FEBRUARY 28, 1994

The Knesset expresses profound shock, and condemns the criminal and revolting murder carried out in the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron.

The Knesset shares the grief of the families who have lost those dear to them, and extends wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Knesset expressed its disgust and rejects the expressions of solidarity and sympathy voiced by a few extremists for the murderous acts which occurred Hebron.

The Knesset disassociates itself from any generalization or sweeping accusation against broad segments of the public, including the settlers.

The Knesset calls upon the entire public, Jews and Arabs, to recover and rise above the tragedy to display responsibility and restraint, and to work to calm enflamed passions.
