National Cyber Week 2015
The National Cybersecurity Week 2015 is held by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC), Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University and the Israeli National Cyber Bureau, Prime Minister Office and will be held on June 22-25, 2015 at Tel Aviv University. The 5th Annual International Cybersecurity Conference is the highlight of this week and is scheduled for June 23-24, 2015.
The 2015 conference will include speakers from both Israel and abroad who will share insights on the latest concerns and dilemmas rising from the evolving cyber technologies as well as the methods used in defending critical national-infrastructures. The conference will deal with cybercrime and terrorism and the ability of governments to combat them.
The last conference enjoyed the presence of more than 5,000 attendees from over 48 countries, including: decision makers, diplomats, academics, respected members of the defense industry and intelligence units, Israeli and international students, hi-tech entrepreneurs, leading experts from the cyber industry, professionals, corporate C-suite executives, and senior decision makers representing policy circles, private sector and defense in Israel and abroad.
Last year, Israeli companies sold about 10% of global sales of cyber security technology – $6 billion of out of total global sales of about $60 billion. Eight Israeli cyber companies were acquired in 2014 for a combined total of $700 million.
