Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Director-General Ilan Cohen today  toured Druze and Bedouin communities in the north and met with Druze and Bedouin local council heads.

PMO Director-General Cohen visited the official memorial to Bedouin who fell in Israel’s wars and said: "This memorial attests to the contribution of the Bedouin in establishing the State and in maintaining its security.  Their contribution is very great relative to their population."

PMO Director-General Cohen visited the Kabia and Kasra-Samia local councils for talks with various local council heads on council affairs and the implementation of recovery plans.  The talks dealt – inter alia – with the new multi-year plan for developing the non-Jewish sector that is due to be approved by the Government in the coming weeks.
