Daiva Raudoniene met with Plot and Knesset Secretary-General Yardena Meller-Horowitz, and later joined an expanded forum of senior Knesset administrators. While at the Knesset, she also had lunch with senior Knesset officials and with the head of the Israel-Lithuania Parliamentary Friendship Group, MK Ksenia Svetlova (Zionist Camp).

Director-General Plot told his guest that he hopes her visit to Israel ”will be a precursor to cooperation and exchanges of information between our parliaments.” In this framework, Raudoniene is scheduled to meet in the coming days with the Knesset`s legal advisor, department heads and committee managers in order to learn about the work that is being done in the parliament building.
The Secretary-General of the Lithuanian parliament gladly accepted Plot`s invitation to take part in the open house events at the Knesset, which will be held Tuesday to mark the Israeli parliament`s 67th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the Knesset building in Jerusalem.
