A delegation of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, headed by MK Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud), traveled to Brussels on Monday for a series of meetings with top officials from the European Union, NATO, the Belgium parliament.

Apart from Hanegbi, the delegation also includes MKs Yaakov Perry (Yesh Atid), Merav Michaeli (Zionist Camp), Michael Oren (Kulanu) and Nachman Shai (Zionist Camp). While in Brussels, the delegation of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee will meet with the European Parliament`s Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as with Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

During the visit to the Belgian capital, the delegation members will also attend a meeting with the participation of NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow. At the Belgian Federal Parliament, the MKS will meet with Foreign Minister Didier Reynders, as well as with the Committee on Foreign Relations.

The lawmakers will also visit the Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels, the site of a deadly terror attack in May 2014.

Next, the delegation will travel to Holland for meetings with Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary-General Renée Jones-Bos. The delegation will also hold a joint meeting with the Dutch Parliament`s Foreign Affairs Committee.
