Women in a transit camp for internally displaced persons in South Sudan receive the materials needed to make embroideries, beads and other handicrafts in order to generate income and reach self-sufficiency. IsraAID also provides different educational activities on protection, gender-based violence, and health to these groups, in partnership with its long-time partners: the State Ministry of Gender and Social Development, South Sudan National Police Services, UNICEF, Children out of Conflict and Street Child.

IsraAID is also providing training to police officers, legal personnel and social and community workers on investigating gender-based crimes, reporting procedures, as well as on how to deal more sensitively with survivors of gender-based violence.
