In March 8, 2016, the district veterinarian and food inspector of Jerusalem Health Bureau conducted inspection in "SuperDag" fish shop on 17 HaAliya St., Beit Shemesh.  During the inspection, the inspector had found fish, some pre-grounded and frozen, some of unknown origin or that were produced, frozen and packed on premises without an appropriate license.
At the district veterinarian’s instruction, about 300 kilograms of fish were destroyed.

Meat products handling, storage and marketing without keeping the conditions required by legislation may be harmful to public health.

The Ministry of Health is taking enforcement action, including legal action, against the food shop.   The public is invited to check out the Guide for Purchasing Meat, Poultry and Fish (Hebrew).
