2. a) The Cabinet discussed the closure of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza and and noted the Prime Minister’s announcement that it will continue until further notice.
b) The Cabinet approved the Labor and Welfare Minister’s proposal to continue subsidizing the employment of 4,000 agricultural workers (unemployed persons under 35 years of age whose unemployment benefits are below the minimum wage).
c) The Cabinet approved, by a majority vote, the Labor and Welfare Minister’s proposal to employ an additional 15,000 foreign workers in the construction sector and 3,250 additional foreign workers in the agricultural sector. The employers of foreign workers will be required to employ at least one additional Israeli worker for every foreign worker.
d) At its next meeting, the Cabinet will discuss the issue of the immediate employment of Israeli workers by the Jewish National Fund and the Antiquities Authority, as well as the initiated projects budget for Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.
