| Foreign Minister Levy Meets Egyptian Ambassador

Foreign Minister David Levy met today (Tuesday), November 18, 1997, with Egyptian Ambassador Mohammed Bassiouny and expressed his condolences to and identification with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in his war against terrorism.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that it is necessary to win in this struggle, which is a war of light against darkness.
On another matter, the Foreign Minister briefed the Ambassador on progress in the peace process made at yesterday’s meeting in Jericho. In the wake of the talks between Prime Minister Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and following his talks in Washington on the four principles, the Foreign Minister will soon meet with Palestinian Authority Deputy Chairman Abu Mazen in order to make further progress.
