ISRAEL INTERESTED IN MAINTAINING GOOD RELATIONS WITH SWITZERLAND

In response to the latest reports on the affair concerning the Swiss bank accounts of Jews who perished in the Holocaust, the Foreign Ministry wishes to express its support for the effort to return Holocaust victims’ assets which were deposited in Swiss banks.

The Foreign Ministry would like to emphasize that good and close relations prevail between Israel and Switzerland, and that Israel has no desire to damage them. We are certain that the Swiss government will honor its promise and do everything possible to reveal the truth regarding the affair and compensate the victims.
