| Foreign Ministry to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon will open the Foreign Ministry’s 50th anniversary celebrations that will take place 29-30 November, 1998 at Givat Ram Campus of Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Foreign Minister Sharon will give a speech which will be followed by a moment’s silence honoring foreign service personnel who have fallen in the line of duty. Foreign affairs experts from the ministry and academe will hold a number of seminars on Israel’s foreign relations. Foreign Ministry Director-General Eytan Bentsur will give a lecture on the role of the Foreign Ministry towards the year 2000, which will close the event.
