| MASHAV Agricultural Course for Egyptian University Graduates
(Communicated by the Israel Foreign Ministry)
As part of the training program of the Israel Foreign Ministry’s Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV), 55 Egyptian university graduates, including two women, participated in a three-week course on "Irrigation, Vegetables and Marketing" held at the CINADCO training center. Some of the students have already participated in MASHAV courses in the past.
The course was one of many conducted in close cooperation between Israel (MASHAV), Denmark (through DANINA, the Danish International Cooperation Office), and Egypt at the Israel Ministry of Agriculture’s Centre for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO). Since the beginning of the trilateral project (1993), over 2,000 Egyptians have taken part in training courses in Israel. In addition, some 50 on-the-spot training courses have been held in Egypt, for graduates of courses in Israel.
The Israel Foreign Ministry accords great importance to the Egyptian component of MASHAV’s activity. The joint projects enhance not only professional expertise, but also serve to foster closer relations and cooperation between the Egyptian and Israeli people.
The graduation ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 1998 at the CINADCO center, at which students will present their projects.
