PM Barak: Attack calls into question seriousness of Arafat’s intentions to implement Sharm understandings
(Communicated by the Prime Minister’s Media Adviser)
Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ehud Barak views the shooting attack this morning (Wednesday), November 8, 2000, in Rafiah – in which a woman was killed on her way to work at the border terminal – with great severity, especially on the eve of Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat’s trip to Washington. It calls into question the seriousness of Chairman Arafat’s intentions to implement the Sharm understandings and decrease violence in region.
