Meeting of Task Force (TFPR) in Paris

The Task Force on Palestinian Reform (TFPR) will meet in Paris this week (22-23 August). Representatives from the United States, the European Union, Russia, Norway, Japan, the UN, the World Bank and the IMF will attend the meeting.

Israel will be represented at the meeting by a delegation headed by Mr. Yossi Gal, Deputy Director General for Economics of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Coordinator of Activities in the Territories.

In preparation for the Paris meeting, Foreign Minister Peres met last week (15 August) with members of the International Task Force on Palestinian Reform. At the meeting, Minister Peres reviewed the series of relief measures that Israel has implemented for the sake of the Palestinian population and briefed the task force members on the details of his meetings with Palestinian ministers. The team heads briefed Minister Peres on their progress in various fields of activity, with an emphasis on the progress made in monetary reforms.
