|Visit of Danish Foreign Minister to Israel

The Foreign Minister of Denmark, Per Stig Moller, will arrive tomorrow (February 28) in Israel for a three-day visit.
During his visit, Foreign Minister Stig Moller will meet with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, with Minister of Defense Ben-Eliezer, and with Deputy Foreign Minister Rabbi Melchior. In addition, he will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority, and he will visit the grave of late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
The meetings of Foreign Minister Stig Moller in Israel will focus on bilateral issues on the agenda, as well as the situation in the region and ways of promoting the peace process.
Denmark will become the President of the European Union in July 2002.
This is the first visit of Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller to Israel since he entered into office, following the change of Government in Denmark in November 2001.
