April 30 TA suicide bombing perpetrated by two British nationals

The suicide attack that took place at approximately 01:00 this morning (Wednesday), April 30, 2003, at the Mike’s Place pub on the Tel Aviv promenade, in which three people were killed and more than 60 were injured, was perpetrated by two British citizens who had entered from the Gaza Strip a few hours prior to the attack.
The suicide bomber was Asif Muhammad Hanif; an additional terrorist, Omar Khan Sharif, fled the scene. Omar Khan Sharif attempted to blow himself up, but due to a fault in his explosive device, was unable to do so. He fought with civilians at the site and dropped his malfunctioning explosive device before fleeing the scene.
Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of the Tanzim-Fatah have declared joint responsibility for this deadly attack.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Omar Khan Sharif, or who saw the two terrorists elsewhere in Israel, are urged to either contact the nearest Israel Police or Border Police station, or the police emergency switchboard (by dialing "100" from any telephone), immediately.
