Family members of missing Argentine citizens to hold press conference

Twenty family members of missing Jewish Argentine citizens whose loved ones disappeared and were abducted during the 1976-1983 period of military rule in Argentina ("desaparecidos") have arrived in Israel on a four-day visit at the behest of the Interministerial Committee on Missing Argentine Citizens.
During their stay, the visitors will meet Jewish Agency Chairman Sallai Meridor, Justice Ministry Director-General Aharon Abramovitz, new immigrants at a Jewish Agency absorption center, visit Yad Vashem and Hebrew University.
On Thursday, September 25, the visitors will attend the dedication of a memorial to the missing Argentine citizens in the Ben Shemen forest; President Moshe Katsav will also attend.
The visitors will tomorrow (Tuesday), September 23, at 10:00, hold a press conference, along with representatives of the Interministerial Committee on Missing Argentine Citizens at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
