FM Silvan Shalom lays a wreath in memory of the victims at the Neve Shalom Synagogue in Instanbul
Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom today (Sunday), November 16, 2003, laid a wreath in memory of the victims of yesterday’s deplorable attacks at the Neve Shalom synagogue. The mayor of Istanbul accompanied him.
The Foreign Minister also met with Isranbul Jewish community leaders. During the meeting, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon called Foreign Minister Shalom to offer his condolences and strength to the community. The Foreign Minister facilitied a conversation between Turkish Chief Rabbi Yizhak Haliva and PM Sharon.
