Foreign Ambassadors in Israel are Summoned Following UN Vote
(Communicated by the Foreign Ministry Spokesman)

Following the results of the vote at the emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly (December 8) on the referral of the security fence issue to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urgently summoned the ambassadors serving in Israel whose countries voted in favor of the aforementioned resolution, in order to protest their votes.

The resolution that was passed at the UN emergency special session is immoral and cynically abuses the mechanism of the emergency session, and attempts to place Israel in the dock, even though Israel is the victim of Palestinian terror, while the "indictment" against Israel is based upon the actions it has taken to defend itself from terror.

Israel’s ambassadors have also been instructed to protest to the local foreign ministries in those same countries which do not have resident ambassadors in Israel.
