German FM Fischer to Visit Israel

The Foreign Minister of Germany, Joschka Fischer, will arrive in Israel tomorrow, 7 April, for a working visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

During the course of his visit, the German Minister will meet with the President of Israel Moshe Katsav, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, the Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, the Minister of Justice Yosef Lapid and the Chairman of the Knesset Opposition, Amram Mitzna. He will also visit the Yad VaShem Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Authority.

Minister Fischer is being hosted by Foreign Minister Shalom, and his discussions in Israel will address regional issues as well as the peace process with the Palestinians.
