FM Shalom and UK FM Straw discuss today’s terrorist attack
(Communicated by the Foreign Minister’s Bureau)

British Foreign Minister Jack Straw called Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Silvan Shalom to express his deep shock and anger over the terrorist attack in Jerusalem today.

The Ministers agreed on the need to ensure that the Palestinian Authority act against terrorism. FM Shalom said that in light of the fact that the Palestinians are not combatting terror, the best thing that Israel can do for its citizens is to continue building the security fence.
